Which Screen Protector Should I Get For My PS Vita?
With the PS Vita official launch coming within the next couple of days, it’s time to check out what accessories you can get to protect your PS Vita.
Screen Protectors
When it comes to screen protectors, no other brand does it better like Hori. I personally have been using their products for years and never had any problems with them.
Currently there are four different types;
Hori Pitahari Filter for PlayStation Vita (Gloss type) – US$ 8.49
This screen protector not only covers the touch-screen but also the surrounding areas of the buttons and analog sticks. Recommended for most users.
[Update] I recently bought this particular screen protector and I have to say, it’s worth every penny. It feels great and doesn’t reduce the screen’s image quality. It’s still attracts oil and finger prints but nothing that can’t be cleaned with a simple wipe.
Also, I applaud to Hori for making it easy for people to apply their screen protectors.
Hori Pitahari Filter for PlayStation Vita (Matt type) – US$ 8.99
If you are annoyed by oily finger prints, then the matt version is the one for you. Be wary tho as some users have complained that matt screen protectors degrade the overall image quality.
Hori Repair Filter for PlayStation Vita – US$ 11.99
I’m not exactly sure if there’s any significant differences between this protector and the rest but from what I read, you should only get this if you have minor scratches on your PS Vita. The material seems to be a bit different and it’s stickier too.
Hori Touch Screen Protector Filter for PlayStation Vita
Unlike the other 3, this one only covers the touch screen proportion of the PS Vita. Might be good to keep one as a backup.
That’s it for screen protectors. Next up, casings!
